Our company was founded in 1990, right across the street from the United Nations headquarters in New York. Since then we’ve been helping organizations to communicate better with their stakeholders—no matter which language they speak.

An Old Name Made New Again

As 1-800-Translate, it has been our privilege to provide foreign-language translation and interpreting services to organizations large and small, including the United Nations and many Fortune 500 companies. But over time, our once catchy name stopped conveying our forward-looking vision.

In 2015, we rebranded with a new name and new look as Responsive Translation. We wanted to highlight our investments in technology and the future of the language industry. Yet we’ve always had a soft spot for the 1-800-Translate name.

That’s why in 2021 we decided to return to our roots and reclaim the telephone-forward brand of 1-800-Translate, but exclusively for our telephone interpreting customers.
